Our Continuing Development Week
This week we welcome all our students to develop their skill-set even further. The fantastic thing about our continuing development week is that you get the opportunity to delve into subjects which aren’t so much related to your course, but related to your interests. Learning about alternative subjects in your industry will give you a key advantage with communication and understanding. Our continuing development week is scheduled as follows:
Monday 13th February:
10.30am – 11.30am Student Rep training: for all student reps – all student reps must attend one training session this week [Room 303]
11.30am – 12.30pm How to build a Time Machine: A Quick & Dirty Guide to hacking time (Time Management) for anyone struggling to get things done! [Room 303]
12pm – 2pm [Session 1] An introduction to Davinci Resolve (grading software) for any student interested in grading [Grading suite]
2pm – 4pm [Session 2] An introduction to Davinci Resolve (grading software) for any student interested in grading [Grading suite]
Tuesday 14th February:
10am – 2pm Film screening & director’s Q&A – Retribution & Radio Friendly: for any students who have questions about making a film [Room 103]
2.30pm – 4.30pm Life drawing session: for anyone who would like to practise their drawing skills [Room 103]
Wednesday 15th February:
10.30am – 11.30am Student Rep training: for all student reps – all student reps must attend one training session this week [Room 303]
12pm – 1pm CV clinic: for students from all Schools – bring along your CV for advice [Learning Resource Centre]
2pm – 3pm Student Services drop in session: for any student who’d like to chat [Room 303]
Thursday 16th February:
10am – 2pm MoCap club: for any student interested in Motion Capture [Futureworks Studios]
10.30am – 11.30am Setting up your own business: my experience: for any student thinking of starting their own business or becoming a freelancer [Room 303]
Friday 17th February:
11am – 4pm Animation club work-in: for anyone who enjoys watching animation films [Room 205]
