The Darkest Dawn Screening

The kind folk from The Darkest Dawn team headed over to Futureworks last week for a special screening and Q&A of their fantastic new Sci-Fi. The turnout was excellent, we had over 20 students attend the screening and Q&A. We would also like to send a special thanks to Miles Bullough (Producer, left), Drew Casson (Director, right) and Beth McCaan (Organiser of the presentation, centre).

The team showed The Darkest Dawn which is part of the Wildseedstudios.com programme for the year. Students questioned Miles and Drew for an hour after the showing and received a huge amount of information and advice. Drew Carson is the 22 year old director of The Darkest Dawn who came to speak to Futureworks Students at the event. He is currently a VFX Artist and now moving into directing feature films in the vein of Gareth Edwards. It’s astonishing work, the darkest Dawn is a micro-budget film that looks like a million dollar studio film. Drew was amazing and the students really enjoyed being able to speak to a director that looks like he’s going to go all the way. Check him out on his Youtube channel and you’ll be able to say I knew him before he went off on his merry ways to Hollywood to work on a multi-million dollar franchise.
