Manchester Unreal Engine Meetup #3

Our Unreal Engine #3 event has been rescheduled and it’s finally here!

The Unreal Engine team are holding meetup number 3 on June 30 here at Futureworks.

We have a great event planned which is open to not only Unreal Devs, but all of our local game developers so if you’ve ever considered coming but you don’t use Unreal – please do join us!

Firstly, we have Jess Hider who is our Community Manager from Epic Games. She’s presenting a talk on how to market your game. Jess will also be around to answer any of your Unreal Engine questions so this is your chance to ask about how Unreal can promote your game!

Secondly, we have another talk from Ben Hill who is the Creative Director at ADVECT Productions. Ben has an incredible amount of experience working on games as a Producer, Designer and Writer on titles such as Q.U.B.E. 2, Lost Words, Hue, Duskers & Ether One. Ben will be presenting a talk on ‘Production for Indies in UE4’.

Last but not least, we have a talk from Mark Gregory who is the Co-Owner & Creative Director at FreesphereE. Mark previously worked on the Unreal Engine game Solarix and is now currently hard a work on his next title, Tether. He will be taking us through the studio’s design process and workflow when creating a commercial UE4 game in a small team.

This event is primarily for industry developers however, we like a small number of students to be able to participate and show their work.

We also have some playable games at the event, the developers of which would love your thoughts about their games!
